Good luck to all of our 24 Math Challenge Club members!

National Junior Art Honor Society- Faculty Sponsors:

National Junior Honor Society - Faculty Sponsor:
Meetings:
as announced
Membership into the National Junior Honor Society is an honor conferred upon students at General John Stricker Middle School by the faculty in recognition of outstanding achievements in the areas of scholarship, leadership, character, service, and citizenship. The National Junior Honor Society strives to recognize the total student:  one who excels in all those areas.  Students are selected upon careful consideration of these qualities, and no student is inducted simply because of a high academic average.  Membership is more than an honor.  Induction into the National Junior Honor Society carries with it more than certain privileges.  It incurs a responsibility and an obligation to demonstrate those outstanding qualities that resulted in the selection.

Students cannot join.  They must be selected for membership.  Once a student becomes a member, he/she must continually earn the right to remain a member by meeting standards established by the Society.  The Induction Ceremony takes place each spring and at that time students become members of NJHS.  During the course of the next school year, students attend meetings where they plan and organize service learning projects.  The main goal of the projects is to help others and make a difference in the community.  Examples of a few projects include a donation drive for hurricane victims, card fundraiser to improve the courtyard, donation drive for the local pet shelter.
